Rochdale Hornets welcome Huddersfield duo Joe Howe and Ben Killan
Rochdale Hornets is proud to announce the signings of centre/second row Joe Howe and prop forward Ben Killan for the 2022 Betfred League 1 season.
The pair join from the academy of Super League side Huddersfield Giants – an academy that has previously produced England internationals such as Jermaine McGillvary, and Leroy Cudjoe.
Hornets chairman, Andy Mazey, is unsurprisingly excited about the new acquisitions: “Matt [Calland] has been really keen to improve the balance of the squad for 2022 with an emphasis on getting the right mix of experience and a solid core of hard working, young, and hungry professionals.
“Ben and Joe tick all the boxes being very talented individuals as well as locally based.
“As a result, we acted quickly to secure them both ahead of our league one rivals.
Mazey concluded: “Having come through a quality Super League environment and system they both have bags of potential, and I can’t wait to see their careers progress with Rochdale Hornets.”
Squad announced so far: Fairclough, Bennion, Chase, Baker, Brearley, Tyrer, Fowden, Davies, McNally, Nixon, Forster, Aspey, Sheridan, Connaughton, Calland, Whur, Singleton, Green, Howe, Killan.
