Everything happening at The Hive this Saturday

We are pleased to confirm full details of this Saturday's two-year anniversary celebrations at The Hive.

Below, we have outlined the different events taking place on the day as we come together to celebrate two years of success at Balderstone Park. 

Women's international fixture

The highlight of the day will see our Hornets Women take on Greece in a mid-season international friendly (1pm kick-off). 

The Hive is the home ground of our Hornets Women and a thriving local community hub, and this fixture will allow us to celebrate all the positive steps forward which have been taken by the club in recent times. 

Ahead of Saturday’s game, we are welcoming expressions of interest from community clubs, groups or individuals who wish to be flag bearers for the fixture.

NOTE: There are also opportunities for mascots and supervisors at this weekend's game. You can confirm your interest in either of those roles by filling out the form above.

Men's captain's run

To kick-start Saturday's festivities, supporters are invited to join us to watch the Hornets men's team complete their captain's run ahead of their trip to Sheffield Eagles the following day. 

Captain's run will begin at 9:30am and last for approximately an hour. 

After the session, there will be opportunities for supporters to meet their favourite players, take photos with them and collect autographs. 

All Hornets tombola

All Hornets, the official supporters club of Rochdale Hornets, will be running a pitch-side tombola before and during Saturday’s women’s fixture.

There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs, with all money generated being reinvested back into the club.

Refreshments

Our community café at Balderstone Park, operated by the Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation, will be open from 10am on Saturday and remain operational throughout the day.

Their menu includes a range of hot and cold food items, drinks and snacks, all at an affordable price for supporters.
