Jordan Paga becomes second new addition for 2026

Rochdale Hornets have confirmed the signing of half-back Jordan Paga on a one-year deal ahead of the 2026 season.

Paga arrives at the Crown Oil Arena from Swinton Lions, where he featured 13 times last season.

The 24-year-old spent time at Hunslet and Oldham earlier in his career.

Paga becomes the club's second new signing of the off-season following last week's announcement that Jamie Dallimore would join the club ahead of the 2026 season.

"I'm really excited to be joining the team and meeting the fans," he said.

"The head coach was a big reason why I joined Rochdale, with the way he spoke to me and told me his ambitions for the club.

"I want to help this club compete with the higher-end teams next season, whoever they may be, and to be right up there come the business end of the year."

Rochdale Hornets chairman Andy Mazey said: "We are delighted to have secured the services of Jordan Paga, a player Gary Thornton rates highly and who still has his best years ahead of him.

"We've kept an eye on Jordan this year and he's gone well at Swinton, operating primarily as a half-back but equally as effective at nine.

"He's been a thorn in our side many times when playing against us for Oldham and Hunslet, so I'm really pleased that we've finally been able to bring him to Rochdale Hornets and he will be playing for and not against us in 2026."
