Young Wigan Warriors front-rower joins on loan

Rochdale Hornets have signed young Wigan Warriors prop forward Dylan Kelly-Duffy on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old front-rower will bolster the Hornets' pack during the run-in as the club continues its pursuit of a top-four finish in Betfred League 1. 

Kelly-Duffy, who signed his first contract with the Warriors' scholarship programme in 2020, was part of the cherry-and-whites' Academy Grand Final-winning side of 2024. 

He has spent time at Swinton Lions earlier this season, featuring three times for the club. 

Rochdale Hornets chairman Andy Mazey said: "I'd like to thank Duffs [John Duffy] over at Wigan for his assistance on this. 

"We are doing it tough with injuries at the minute, so it's great to be able to add Dylan to the mix. 

"He is a big athlete and everyone knows what players from the Wigan club and environment bring, so it's therefore a welcome addition for Gary and the group to have him onboard with us."
