Ben O’Keefe re-joins Hornets for second loan stint
Rochdale Hornets is delighted to welcome back Ben O’Keefe for a second spell at the Crown Oil Arena.
The young centre comes to Hornets on a two-week loan, from Wigan Warriors, having impressed in his first spell with the club - earlier in the season.
O’Keefe, who also plays in the second row, ran in three tries in just three games for Matt Calland’s side – including a brace on debut against Hunslet.
He was also a key part of the Rochdale team that recorded a memorable 34-18 win over local rivals Oldham.
Hornets Chairman, Andy Mazey, is thrilled to have O’Keefe back.
He said: “Ben performed really well for us, in his first stint at the club, so it’s brilliant to be able to bring him back on loan.
“He’s a player who knows what Hornets are all about, so we’re very grateful to Wigan for allowing him to sign.”
O’Keefe will come straight into contention for tomorrow’s trip to Midlands Hurricanes (3pm kick-off).
