Jamaica international Isaac Coleman joins Hornets

Rochdale Hornets have completed the signing of talented young forward Isaac Coleman.

Coleman has penned a deal with the club until the end of the 2026 campaign following a successful trial spell during pre-season.

He came through the youth ranks at Bradford Bulls, featuring at both scholarship and academy level until the age of 19.

Coleman then went to university, during which time he represented the England Students team and continued to play at amateur level.

He has been capped twice by the Jamaica national team, featuring for the Reggae Warriors against Wales in 2024 and France a year later.

During his time on international duty, Coleman has featured alongside new Hornets team-mates Jaden Dayes and Jordan Andrade.

He goes straight into contention to feature against Wigan Warriors in the Betfred Challenge Cup this weekend.

"I’m really excited to sign for the Hornets," Coleman said.

"I appreciate the opportunity, and I’ll continue to work hard to be ready to make an impact on the pitch."

Rochdale Hornets chairman Andy Mazey said: "Isaac has been part of the group throughout pre-season on trial, and has impressed Gary Thornton and his staff with his hard work and attitude.

"He's an explosive ball-carrier and has most definitely earned his contract with us.

"I know Isaac will be looking to take his opportunity when it comes."
