Play or volunteer for our Hornets women's team

Rochdale Hornets Women are now welcoming expressions of interest from individuals wishing to play or volunteer for the club during the 2026 season.
After a remarkable 2025 season which saw the Hornets Women go unbeaten in league action and culminated in a thrilling Grand Final victory over Rochdale Mayfield to secure promotion, attention now turns to the next chapter in the club's history.
Trials will be held for those wishing to join the playing group ahead of the Hornets Women’s first season at Northern League One level.
There are also a number of off-field volunteering roles to be filled, with the club keen to hear from anyone who is keen to bring their expertise and passion for Rochdale and women's rugby league to the table.

Rochdale Hornets Women head coach Ben Bird said: "With a massively successful 2025 season out of the way, attention turns to 2026 and our plans to compete in League One.
"The biggest success of 2025 was the togetherness of the environment we created. That translated into a team that fought for each other every second of every game and an unbeaten league campaign.
"With the majority of our talented young squad retained, and with some exciting new additions committed, we're looking to welcome new faces.
"2025 proved that experience isn't necessarily a prerequisite to success. A number of our players last year had never played rugby league before, but with dedication, they developed into unbeaten league and Grand Final winners.
"I'd welcome players of all levels of experience and ability to come and be part of Rochdale Hornets.
"As a coach and a club, if players commit to us, we will invest everything we can in return."
