Report: Goole Vikings 0-50 Rochdale Hornets

Rochdale Hornets were back on the road on Sunday with a visit to the East Riding of Yorkshire to face an in-form Goole Vikings, coming away with an impressive 50-0 win.
Winger Luke Forber scored a remarkable five tries for the Hornets - becoming just the sixth player in club history to score five tries in a single game, while also replicating the achievements of Dan Nixon earlier in the season.
Overall, Gary Thornton’s side produced a clinical display against the team making their Betfred League 1 debut this season.
It took just two minutes for the Hornets to open the scoring. A pinpoint kick from Martyn Ridyard found the hands of Forber who, after juggling it about, touched down to make it 4-0.
Forber grabbed his brace soon after, diving over in the corner.
This was followed by an effort from close range by Max Flanagan to make it 16-0 after just 15 minutes.
Birthday boy Dan Nixon stretched the Hornets' advantage further with 25 minutes gone. A high kick fell perfectly into his arms, and the 23-year-old touched down under the sticks.
Forber then grabbed his hat-trick seven minutes before half-time to give the Hornets a 28-0 lead.
Eight second-half minutes passed, and Forber was on the scoresheet once again for his fourth of the afternoon after a misjudged kick was swept up by the Hornets winger.
Tom Ashton was next to cross on the 65-minute mark, powering himself over the line and under the sticks.
With 12 minutes to go, Forber grabbed his fifth and final try of the afternoon, before Flanagan added another with five minutes to go to bring up the half-century and cap off a fantastic afternoon.
