Beth Harris joins Hornets Women for 2025

Rochdale Hornets Women have announced the signing of forward Beth Harris for the 2025 season.

The 27-year-old forward re-joins Rochdale Hornets.

She becomes the twentieth signing to join Ben Bird's squad for the 2025 season.

“I’m really looking forward to being involved in the women’s team again after some time away from the game, there has been a lot of positive changes within the women’s team and  it’s really exciting to get to be a part of that!

Ben, Rob and Matt have been great with the support of getting me back into the game, if it wasn’t for their unconditional support I’m not sure I’d be putting the boots back on again! My goals for this season are to go out onto the pitch and give it my all and do the club proud! We’ve got a really strong team this season so it’s going to be a really good run!”

Head coach Ben Bird commented: “Having Beth back was inevitable, she is Hornets through and through. She has had time away from the game but she's always supported and you could see how important it was to her. Another Rochdale girl from a fiercely loyal Hornets family. Beth has played rugby league for a long time and was part of the first ever Hornets ladies team. She knows exactly what she's doing and can play in a number of positions. Beth comes in to the squad as the second Harris sister, with Millie already having played this year. Beth has been a role model for her younger sister and it will be amazing to see them both back in the kit this season. Although Beth's been out for a while, I have no doubt she has the experience and the fight to get back to her best in no time.”
