Rochdale Hornets Women have announced the signing of back rower Emma Jenkinson for the 2025 season.

The 18-year-old back rower returns to the club.

She becomes the sixteenth signing to join Ben Bird's squad ahead of the 2025 season.

“I originally started my open age journey at Rochdale and the atmosphere has always been so welcoming and a place to enjoy the sport I'm excited to be back with the team, for the upcoming season my main goals as a player are to be the best team mate I can be and better my skills, I'm excited to see how we develop as a team I'd like to thank Ben and Rob for their time and dedication to the team and everyone in the background for making this possible”

Rochdale Hornets Women head coach Ben Bird said: “I've known Emma and her family from her being around her dad and brother in the community game as a young girl. At 19 she has over a decades experience playing RL. Starting at Bury Broncos u9s before moving to play Leigh Miners girls side at u12s. At 17 she arrived at Hornets and played her 1st openage game before winning the winter league with Wigan St Judes and now she's back. Emma's another aggressive defender, a physical second row forward with great handling, it's exciting to see her back as part of a our new start.”
