Lewis Hollidge signs new one-year deal
Rochdale Hornets half-back Lewis Hollidge has penned a new one-year deal, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2025 season.
The 24-year-old arrived at the start of the 2024 season following an impressive run as a trialist in Gregg McNally’s testimonial.
The former Leeds Rhinos and Halifax Panthers man featured just once for Gary Thornton’s side in his debut season at the Crown Oil Arena, starting against neighbours Oldham in the 1895 Cup.
Hollidge, who has an experienced rugby union background, has spent the majority of the last year at Oldham St Annes, in a bid to increase his knowledge of the 13-man code.
“I’m really happy to have signed for this year,” he said.
“I learned a lot from last season, and I’m excited to see how far we can go as a team.”
Rochdale Hornets head coach Gary Thornton said: “Lewis has been learning his trade at Oldham St Annes and has been really patient over the past year.
“This season, he will come in with more experience and more rugby league knowledge.
“He has great potential and will hopefully complement Martyn Ridyard and Lewis Else in the pivots in the coming season.”
