Lewis Else nominated for League 1 Player of the Year
Rochdale Hornets half-back Lewis Else has been shortlisted for this season's Betfred League 1 Player of the Year award.
Else has been a stand-out performer for the Hornets this season, scoring 15 tries in 23 appearances and assisting countless others.
It is this form which has seen him make the three-man shortlist for the Player of the Year accolade, alongside Oldham duo Danny Craven and Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e.
Five of the nine clubs who competed in League One this season are represented in the nominations for the end of season awards.
As usual, the nominations - and winners, who will be announced at rugby league’s awards night at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on Tuesday 8 October - have been determined by a poll of head coaches, who are not allowed to vote for players in their own teams.
