AJ BOARDMAN RE-SIGNS FOR 2024

Rochdale Hornets are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward, AJ Boardman ahead of the 2024 season.

Rochdale Hornets are delighted to announce the re-signing of outside back, AJ Boardman, who will stay with the club following a successful 2023 season. 

Head Coach, Gary Thornton, commented on the re-signing; “AJ is a valuable member of our squad both on and off the field. He’s a big character in the group and the younger players look up to him."

"We missed his presence for a large portion of the season due to injury,  but hopefully that’s behind him and he can go on and have a good season next campaign."

"He had other offers on the table so I’m delighted he’s staying with us. His strong running and no nonsense approach will be a big asset for us next season and he will be an important part of our pack.”

AJ added, "It’s great to be given another chance at Rochdale and I must thank GT and Mazey for wanting me on board for another season in what is hoping to be a successful one and at the right end of the table. There has been alot of change and hard work going on behind the scenes at the club to achieve  what I would say is a team built for success with quality and experience right across the squad. I’m delighted to be a part of the squad for 2024 and with narrowly missing out on playoffs last year…. We owe this season to hornets supporters and the badge. Can’t wait to get in to preseason and get going with the team."
