LUKE FORBER RE-SIGNS FOR 2024

Luke Forber has signed a contract extension, until the end of the 2024 season

Rochdale Hornets are delighted to announce the re-signing of Luke Forber for the 2024 season.

Luke has enjoyed a first season at Hornets and commented; 

"Since signing on at Rochdale last year from amateur level, I have loved playing at this higher level it is more competitive and challenging and sometimes that I’ve always pushed myself to do. 

Everyone at the club has has made me feel welcome. When first signing on for the club I signed as a back row but towards the back end of the season before my injury, I found my new position out in centre. I’m looking forwards to the upcoming season, I I’m confident that we can really push for a spot at the top end of the table. 

I’d like the thank everyone at the club for giving me the opportunity that I’ve always wanted and retaining me at the hornets for the 2024 season."

Coach, Gary Thornton spoke on the re-signing;

"Luke has made terrific progress since joining us in pre season from the community game. He impressed everyone with his fitness and enthusiasm. 

It’s a huge step up but he has handled it really well and shown a thoroughly professional approach. 

I’m looking forward to seeing Luke progress even further next season and push for a regular starting spot"
