Club Statement: We deserve more support

Rochdale Hornets issue a rallying call to rugby fans to get behind the team in 2023.

In an emotional update on how thing are going at the club, Hornets CEO Steve Kerr said: 

“The board, management and staff are working tirelessly to make this club a success. Recent announcement’s such as our vision for a community club and our ambition to become one of the most inclusive and diverse clubs in rugby league point directly to the hard work being done. We have also had a very successful off-season so far, with fantastic backing from our commercial partners and we won’t stop until every commercial property is sold and this club is firing on all cylinders.

"However, I must express my disappointment at the number of season tickets sold for the forthcoming season. This club deserves more and that’s the truth. If Rochdalians, sports fans and rugby fans in this town want a successful professional rugby league club, they need to vote with their feet. Whilst we understand money can be tight this time of year, we absolutely feel the ticketing price is on point and represents good value. 

"You only need to look at the squad progression made on the field in recent years, the competitive squad that Gary has put together and the never say die attitude our boys have shown in pre-season. There’s a great product on show and the outstanding media output and communication is as good as anyone in our sport right now. The board and directors can only do so much, this is your club, the future is directly in your hands.

"With four weeks to go until the start of the season, we need to see more season tickets sales - we can’t sugar coat that. Now is the time to back the club and all you need to do is buy a season ticket and if you can go one step further and introduce someone to the club that would massive”.

Rochdale Hornets will be rolling out a digital ticketing app with our partners Future Ticketing, which will make it easier for supporters to download tickets on your phone, share tickets and scan at the turnstile. Your digital membership will be ready soon and available for the start of the season.

Season tickets cost as little as £150 for an adult, £50 for a student and £30 for a junior (U16). 

Platinum club season passes are also available from £225 for adults and £75 for juniors. This comes with added benefits such as an exclusive invite to a first team training session to meet players and staff and an exclusive platinum club shirt.
