Hornets Heritage join as sponsors for 2023.

We are delighted to announce Hornets Heritage as sponsors in 2023.

Rochdale Hornets are pleased to announce a partnership with Hornets Heritage for the 2023 season.

 Hornets Heritage, who represent the Hornets in a way like no other will continue to work and sponsor the club over the course of 2023. 

 The Heritage logo will be seen on the back of the new home and away shorts and will pay tribute to Brian Belfield, who was described as a true hornet.

 The dedicated and highly professional work of Jim Stringer and Neil Bruckshaw is fantastic and something Hornets CEO Steve Kerr says he’s ‘delighted’ about in the sponsorship deal.

 He said: I’m delighted to have heritage representation on this year’s kit, and with a tribute to the late Brian Belfield.

 “Brian was a wonderful man and stalwart of the club. We miss him dearly so when Jim [Stringer] approached us with the idea, it was a no brainer.

 “I’d also like to thank Jim for his fantastic work with the Fiji Heritage programme and Neil [Bruckshaw] who continues to manage our heritage room and player contribution.”

 On the announcement, Jim Stringer said: “Sponsorship is a great way to recognise those who have contributed to the rich heritage of our club.

 “Hornets supporters have a great tradition of stepping up and Hornets Heritage is delighted to do our bit.”

 His partner in this sponsorship, Neil Bruckshaw paid tribute to not only Brian Belfield but others that have fallen and said: “For our 2023 sponsorship, we chose to commemorate the Hornets fallen from the Great War and Brian.

 “He played a number of roles at Hornets stretching back half a century.

 “John Twigg, Charles Burton, Tom West, and Walter Roman all served our club, town and country with distinction and made the ultimate sacrifice.

 “Brian was also instrumental in the creation of Hornets as a supporters owned trust in 2010 and went on to serve as a director on the new club’s board.”
